Getting SCALE-UP is a two-step process:

• First, we train you!
• Then, we give you the code

Our priority right now is to foster a small community of well-trained SCALE-UP users (and eventually developers) who can help us improve the code as regards robustness and functionality… while running some cool simulations for their own research, of course! In the same spirit, at present SCALE-UP is distributed under a proprietary license that imposes a few restrictions. In particular, redistribution is not allowed.

To do this, we will organize registration-free workshops in which we will teach the new users about this novel simulation approach and our code. Then, all workshop participant automatically become registered users and go back home a free copy of the SCALE-UP package, which includes the codes to construct the models as well as to run large-scale simulations.So, if you want to use SCALE-UP, follow the instructions here and apply for a seat in our next training workshop!

Note that our workshops will be small, and we may not be able to respond affirmatively to all participation requests. Generally speaking, we will favor applicants whose interests and research projects are best suited to what SCALE-UP can do.
