Our current priority is to foster a small community of well-trained SCALE-UP users (and eventually developers) who can help us improve the code as regards robustness and functionality, while running some cool simulations for their own research.

This is our driving force to organize registration-free workshops in which:

• we teach the new users about Second-Principles Density Functional Theory
• we teach them to run SCALE-UP and introduce analysis tools in well described hands-on exercises,
• we introduce the tools to build models for new materials,
• we offer advice on the specific applications of interest for the new users.

The first workshop was held at the University of Cantabria (Spain) in July 2017, and our plan is to have one every year. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us at any time.
